Love the battered old bush...looks like my landscape right now. The black and whites are just so dramatic, I love to play with them too.

We used to say B&W is timeless, it's also weather-less. It's the end of Spring, it could be whatever other season (except of winter because of the leaves.
This picture is so neat, the subject as you said has something Eternal.
I like it.
