Happy Valentines Day my friend...again you've give another bird study I just love! I was once asked to paint a Mourning Dove on a footstool for a husband for Valentines Day, it was his favorite bird. It turned out fabulous! I wish I would've known you then and wished there were digital cameras...I would've asked for a copy.

Some day I'll have the time to sit and paint my avian portraits again, perhaps when that's all I'm required to do...to sit in my rocker on the front porch dreaming my old age away.

I hope we get to meet before that time has come! In the meantime, I think of you often and the loss of your beloved countryside.

Many hugs and again, happy Valentines Day friend!

Hi, this is my first time dropping by your blog... I see you're from Melbourne - I hope it's raining there now!? It's been raining here - 1hr from Sydney - for the last 2 days. Jean and jumper weather!

Anyway... I think that this is a perfect cc post for Valentine's day.

Happy Valentines!!

I like watching the doves. It's easy to understand them being a symbol of peace and love.
