Love this! The magpie seems to be wondering what the heck you're doing. Hahaha.

Lovely shadow shot and words to go with it!

The tree shadows look flowing, unlike a tree's limb. I see streamers in motion, but the imagination works well with the shadowy art...The magpie looks stylish, the white accents the difference in beauty between them and, say ravens. Not that monochromatic birds aren't beautiful too...

Very pretty shadow - we have a lot of magpies singing and calling around at the moment too. Must be because it's spring and they're nesting!

Hello sweet little friend, the curious and mischievous magpie is one of my faves, they used to steal peanuts from our squirrel feeders when I lived in Colorado, fun to watch the two fight over them.

I still can't believe that you are heading into summer vacation and we're on the edge of the LONG freeze. Winters are so brutal here, it just depresses you to think about not having sun for months sometimes or so much snow, you are stranded in a world of cabin fever, just wanting a glimpse of another human being...or even enjoying Walmart, just to get out and about.

Such is the life we've been handed, we make due, hopefully internet sales will pull me through this winter. But I think we Americans need to learn to live with less, we've gotten fat with stuff and ego...time to change all that, there is so much more than that in life...to just witness the beauty all around, even a lowly magpie is a gift.

Have a great week, don't work to hard, breathe deep...with love and hugs!!!

Oh cute maggie! I like them so much better when they're not swooping at me ;)

Have a great long weekend Gemma! I almost forgot it was Melbourne Cup! I really do live under a rock sometimes.

Hey it's great that you're making your photos available for purchase via Redbubble! You should set up shop at Etsy too!

We have a family of maggies that comes back every year - they really must find something appealing about our back yard. They don't swoop, so I guess they must find us appealing as well!

how soon will your shadow pass?
