It seems to offer an ellipse akin to an egg. The skeleton diffuses the light nicely, Such a lamp is unique, the shadows delicate...

One of the universal, physical demands that must be met, whether we like it or not.

How restful this light and shadows are...if only life were as accommodating...in our little town of 27,000 peeps, one of our major industries has taken away another 240 jobs...they have a factory in China...do you suppose that has anything to do with their cheap labor practices!!! Big corporation will be the ruination of the middle class.

So things are looking rather bleak as more and more shops are closing in our historic downtown. My daughter is even thinking of moving her shop out of the city. A sad state of affairs all over the place. It's such a struggle staying afloat, especially when alone.

But my internet sales of soaps and some antiques, plus the dog grooming I'm doing at home, helps me stay afloat. But it's a worry every week that a new trial will befriend me. Scratchy goes to the vet Monday to have her hips checked for her limping and I know that won't be cheap, but it must be done...so on we plod, I'm just thankful I can work out of my home.

I do get peace of mind there and with good music and cup of java, the days move on as they should...although the snows could've been avoided, but we know they won't be around long, so why worry...just dream of the day I can visit the sea again and of my own pirate vessel...or maybe it's Johnny Depp, what a hunk...well, I can dream can't I...ha!

Take heart old friend, these days a job is a job, though living on the edge and to the bare bones of it is a struggle, there's a certain feeling of relief from the purge of all that stuff...I just keep putting price tags on my stuff and hauling it to the shop...ahhh, what a relief!!!

And if you come up with a solution...please do tell!!!

Warmest hugs sent to a dearest friend from afar!

What a lovely display of shadows. Patterned candle holders/lamps always mesmerize me with their shadows...this photo has instant soothing capabilities!! Nice job!

Stained glass in the frames would make it even more beautiful.

Hello Gemma! Love that lantern! What a fun piece to have in a home - who would need a campfire when you'd have that light to set around?!!
