Weekend Mailbox #1
~
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF WEEKEND MAILBOX!
A few introductory comments:
1. Post a photograph of anything that relates to mailboxes.
You can select anything to do with mail.
Here are a few ideas!
mailboxes
cards
stamps
vintage cards/postcards
old letters
2. Add your name + country (initials) and link to Linky Tools below.
3. Your link must be a "permalink" and go directly to your Weekend Mailbox post.
4. Link back to Weekend Mailbox in your post tags.
5. You may like to use the Weekend Mailbox badge located in this post or on the sidebar! Right click and save it on your computer. Then, when you add it to your post, ensure you click on the image and link it to Gemma's Greyscale Territory. Then others may follow the link here.
P.S. I am aware that U.S. has official mailboxes.
But anything related to mail is great for this meme!
It's OK to think outside "the mailbox"!!!

The postal authorities actually allow such mailboxes in Australia? Here in the U.S., the owner of such a mailbox would be ordered--under threat of a stiff fine and a possible jail/gaol sentence--to install an "official" mailbox, one approved by the Postmaster General!

Doh! I didn't manage to get out and about to shoot any mailboxes. Yours is so cool!

That comment from MMT surprises me! I think it was here that I discovered a while back that certain parts in American will not allow washing to be hung on clothes lines too. Gosh we really do live in the lucky country don't we? We can hang washing outside and have cool mailboxes. Hell, we could even hang our washing on our mailboxes if we really wanted to! ;D

Yeah, Harriet, I know...parts of the U.S. are weird indeed! Maybe I ought to think of moving to your fair country, eh?

I learned about your meme through Ana. The meme interests me. I might join in this coming weekend.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I'd be afraid of putting my hand anywhere near this mail box ;-)
This looks an interesting meme, Gemma, and I'm looking forward to attempting to join in :-)
