AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Very eerie indeed, but makes for a great photo!

Gemma -- I think the picture is beautiful! Such a different light. Sometimes when we travel we see pretty pink skies and then learn that they're caused by smog or a distant forest fire. I hate finding that out!

That sky looks like a painting - odd, but very pretty!

Very cool colour. I was going to say, even before I read your comment that it looks like a storm is about to hit.

Really eerie light, but what a capture, with the bird perched on the pole, amazing!

Wow - love that bird balanced on the pole. A wonderful kind of light too.

Very eerie light, sort of dusty looking, and the bird is awesome.

Fantastic capture. The eerie background and the bird on the pole really makes it special.

Sometimes a pink sky can be warm and comforting, and sometimes chilling in its eeriness.
