What a great shadow shot! I'm continually amazed at the places I have found wonderful shadows once I started looking for them. Hope your weekend is going well, Gemma! Enjoy!
Sylvia
This shot is marvelous, Gemma. The shadows are wonderfully sharp and make a great pattern!
great diamonds...the sun looks so welcoming...as does the door.
hope all is well in your corner of the world gemma!!
A very artistic pic with that great pattern and shadows. Well done! :)
The view through the door is quite cool! The shadows are linear and diamond shaped, too. The sun, shade, wood and tile get together nicely here, enough variety in shape and size to make the utilitarian laundry look unique - if not great!
Wonderful, Gemma. More than "a little artistic"!!

Diamonds are a girl's best friend! Great shot, my SSS is diamonds too.
Can laundry and lovely shadows really be in the same sentence?!! ha! Enjoy your weekend Gemma...looks like the laundry is done :)
Nice shot for the laundry shadow...happy SSS!
What fine shadows! Almost hard to tell where the door ends and they begin.
Who would have believed that a laundry door could create such beauty! Gorgeous shot Gemma!
Sorry to hear that you were having trouble with Mr Linky. Somebody else was also. Just thought I'd let you know that so you don't think Mr Linky singles you out to pick on ;) All seems to be ok now and you have only the one link showing. Have a great week Gemma :)
There's beauty in everything, even laundry!
That's right! It's summertime where you are. I long to have the door open again. If we did this now, the whole house would freeze.
I like the perfect diamonds created here. How did the laundry come out? Do you hang it outside? Sorry, just having summertime dreams :-)
Peace
Oh dear friend, yes I was beginning to wonder...is she bogged down with lessons or gardening...or just enjoying her summer...and like Spadoman, I long for the clothes to be dried on the line outside, they smell so wonderful. I have a candle scent that I have on a warmer upstairs and every time you walk in there it smells like clean sheets off the line...you get a perfect nights sleep every night!
We're having a typical January winter, so cold your nose freezes shut...and like I mentioned, when you walk across the deck it cracks, like the limb of a tree suddenly broken. All the 4 inches of snow we had is now crunchy ice from a past rain, but we've been soooo lucky this year so far, we just haven't had much snow in our area. But we're still anxious for the warmth.
I'm working on new designs for my candles and soaps...my theme...writers...my scents will honor such greats as Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemingway, Somerset Maugham, George Sand...and many more...I'm having fun with this one, but it takes lots of research and planning, however, this is the perfect time to perfect...winter, the time for plans to be cultivated and dreams of summers past to keep us warm.
Have fun with your compost pile, whilst I dream of mine!!! I believe we're having another snow event coming our way...but hey, it's also coming one day closer to SPRING...YAYYYYYYY!!!
Have a wonderful week dearest friend, don't work too hard, so you can play even harder...been loving your posts, have been there several times, but have had a hard time posting...think my computer is having death throbs...it's soooooo slow!
Big smooches and warmest hugs from the frozen tundras of Iowa(not Idaho)...ha!
Luv u sista!

I love your shadows, they're so crisp and clear!
IF SHADOWS COULD TALK
If shadows could talk,
Just what would they say?
If you listen close,
You’ll hear them, you may.
Shadows do chatter
And gossip and talk
In the store windows,
Along the sidewalk,
Over the mountains,
On prairie and plain,
Begging for sunshine
And not days of rain;
Emboldened by light,
The stark shadows say:
“We’re out for a lark,
Please join us at play!”

Very creative. Thanks for sharing.
